Title: "Game Over or Continue - Chap 11: 11th Level"
Author: J.J.
Warning: It's an AU BASED ON THE MANGA, it probably contains some OOCness and a bit of sappiness, uses Japanese words (the dictionary is at the bottom) and includes some spoilers...
Notes: Based on the idea that there can't be a heaven on Earth but that being with your loved one helps a lot...
Disclaimer:
"Tokyo Babylon" and "X" belong to Clamp. I'm merely using their characters because I love them... especially Seishiro and Subaru...
Do I own something here? Oh yes, I own the plot and a sensitive heart which would surely break if you give me harsh reviews, so please be honest but nice, okay?
Thanks: To Ruth for betaing this! Thank you a lot!
Summary: Poor, mentally unstable Subaru is convinced he's finally been killed off on Judgement Day, when he wakes up again in a hospital and discovers things went radically different from how he remembers them... And when he starts getting used to this new reality weird things start to happen that make him wonder whether it's really him who's having distorted memories or if there's something behind all this...

So hum... March is not my month.
The first day I got a bad scare at work and yesterday I got another at home when first my dog almost strangled himself while eating too fast (luckily he's fine now) and then with my mom fainting.

Is it too much to ask for some quiet?

*sighs* You know you're obsessed when a random vampire shows up in Drug and Drop and you start thinking 'YAY! Maybe now CLAMP will tell us something more about TRCSubaru and Kamui (and Seishiro and Fuma)'... then realize that CLAMP is evil and that vampire isn't onw of your beloved vampire and hit your head against the pc. MANY, MANY TIMES...

Oh and CLAMP, since you promised for the 9th time to end X, this time to an Italian editor, why don't you just start working on it? I'll apprecciate it.

Lucio Dalla died today. It was an Italian singer, author of beautiful songs so I want to remember him through his songs. In a while I'm going to post a zip file with some of them. Here are some of his songs; I think if you'll enjoy them he'll be happy.

For now some of his songs from Youtube:

Okay, so since I'm in a drawing mood I've ended up drawing the Italian traditional carnival costumes on Hetalian characters... and on OC Hetalian characters representing the Italian regions...

In case you're curious you can see them here.

Pochi disegni (solo 28) e qualche foto.

FATE ATTENZIONE ALLA SCENA A 3:53! E' piuttosto veloce così potreste perderla... anche se è importante... ^_^;

My love for MAD Movies strikes again. I guess I'm the only one mad enough to do them for SeiSu but well... Here's my new attempt.
Tsubasa version of SeiSu this time... or maybe just SeiSu in Tsubasa clothes as the plot is the one of the Vocaloid video 'Murasaki no Mori'. The story is slightly horror, thought it has a little funny moment. Few draws (only 28) and some photoes.
Subs for the song included as well as translated version of the text that was originally in the 'Murasaki no Mori' video (no, I didn't translate it, you know I fail at Japanese...).
Well... as Subaru's role was originally of Hatsune Miku, a girl, I turned all the sentences that described him as a girl, into sentences fitting for a boy... :P

PAY ATTENTION TO THE SCENE AT 3:53! As it's pretty fast you might miss it... even if it's important... ^_^;

It's far from perfect... to be honest I started it long ago, gave up on it, then decided to give it a second try and here's the result. Anyway I've tried my best so, if you enjoyed it, I'll apprecciate if you'll tell me (just remember sensitive heart here, okay? Don't be too cruel with me... ;_;).
Or, if you're the silent type, would you mind posting a link to it somewhere in your journal/webpage/whatever?
Commenting and linking would be the best but I know I'm being greedy here... :P

The song I used is 'Murasaki no Mori' by KAITO & Hatsune Miku, who, if you don't know, are vocaloids.

Lyrics... if you're curious... )

Since, due to assorted problems, I couldn't manage to be productive in writing, I offer you a MMV about "Umineko no Naku Koro ni", my latest love. It's a mystery story with fantasy elements... though you can also view it as a fantasy story with mystery elements.

Umineko starts as a visual novel ([info]akk_, for odd reasons I think you should like it), but, for the first 4 arcs exists a also anime (not really great... -_-) and the 8 arc are being transposed into manga version, a manga for each arc. The manga are much better than the anime, however since the arcs are supposed to be read one after the other but they decided to have each arc entrusted to a different manga author and printed almost at the same time (arc 1-2-3 are just finished, arc 4 is about to be finished, arc 5-6-7 are ongoing and this month should also start arc 8) reading them without having read the novel first might result a bit confusing and giving you lot of spoilers.

So yes, if you want to get into Umineko read the visual novel. The English patch for all the games has been finished and although the art isn't pretty the music is great.

Anyway, back to the MMV... it's not a terribly creative one, merely a remake of the vocaloid video "Witch -Witch Hunt-"... which is terribly fitting for Umineko... ^_-
The scenes are taken by the various Umineko manga, since they were drawn by different mangaka style might vary slightly.
The manga pics were cleaned and edited to cut out ballons. Entirely. It was a hell of work because it required redrawing part of the pic.
Yes, in my mind there's a plot behind this, but you're free to make up your own.

"Umineko no Naku Koro ni" by Ryukishi07, 07th Expansion & Square Enix

Scenes from:
"Turn of the Golden Witch" by Suzuki Jiro
"Banquet of the Golden Witch" by Natsumi Kei
"Alliance of the Golden Witch" by Soichiro
"End of the Golden Witch" by Aki Taka
"Dawn of the Golden Witch" by Momoyama Hinase

Cast:
Megurine Luka (Beatrice),
Kagamine Rin (Shannon),
Kagamine Len (Kanon),
Kamui Gakupo (Ushiromiya Battler)
Hatsune Miku (Furudo Erika)

Also many thanks to [info]abydos_star for her precious help!

The song I used is of course 'Majo -Witch Hunt-' by Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Kamui Gakupo & Hatsune Miku

Help in improving this would be greatly apprecciated...

You must see this one!
It's short (5:33) and the only word said is Buongiorno (Litterally 'Good day' but I guess a more fitting translation would be 'Good morning').
Oh, the beautiful music in the background is by Ennio Morricone and was used in Sergio Leone's movie 'C'era una volta il West' (Once upon a time in the west). If I'm not wrong its title is 'Man with a Harmonica'.

Okay, so, since I'm history obsessed and I love the Anti The Infinite Holic MAD I tried to figure out the historic references in the video and add them to it as well as the translation of the lyrics.

Since I think it could be interesting for other people as well I'm sharing it:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FTEJPZ27

Note that:

- I'm not the author of the video
- In some cases I've no idea if the historic references I found are correct. Some comes from a Japanese source, some come from a Chinese source (and the two disagreed on them here and there), some are just my assumptions. Do you have a better one or can confirm one? Please let me know.
- I didn't do this translation, I found it on youtube used for more than one video. If someone knows who's the author, please let me know so I can give proper credits.
- I've no idea if this translation is correct. On Youtube there are more than 1 translation and they present some big differences. If you've a correct translation and are willing to let me use it I'll love you.
- Subs and notes are small. Sadly it was either that or covering in writing the video.

I wonder... are you watching the sky?
The night in between the 10th and the 11th here in Italy is called San Lorenzo's night, better known as the notte delle stelle cadenti (Night of the shooting stars) and therefore most of us spend it watching the sky... actually the 10th was the best day to see them in the past, as of now you've more luck if you search for them the 12th... but still to us it's the 10th that hold a special meaning so... are you watching the sky right now trying to see a shooting star?

Title: "Careful With What You Wish - Chap 38: In The End"
Author: J.J.
Warning: It's an AU BASED ON THE MANGA. It requires knowledge of the 'X' manga. It contains some Japanese words (the Dictionary is at the bottom), some OOC, a bit of sappiness, twisted relationships, suicide attempts, mentions of abuse, violence, general insanity and other things I might have forgotten... Deal with this fic with caution...
Notes: This is dark and twisted, dark and twisted, dark and twisted... have I mentioned it's dark and twisted? It's born to show a less nice Seishiro, how bad Fuma's idea that Wishes must be fulfilled is and how stubborn Subaru can be no matter what happened to him.
Disclaimer:
"Tokyo Babylon" & "X" belong to Clamp. I'm merely using their characters because I love them... especially Seishiro and Subaru...
Do I own something here? Oh yes, I own the plot and a sensible heart which would surely break if you give me harsh reviews... so please be honest but nice ok?
Thanks:
To Ruth for betaing this! Thank you a lot!
To Moko, Tanuki-dono, Meffie, Sakanagi and Yupita for supporting me while writing this fic! Thank you a lot!
Summary: After meeting Subaru in his Maboroshi 16 years ago Seishiro chose to keep him and placed him under a spell so that he would obey him. Now, in the year of the destiny he has to face Sumeragi Hokuto who wants her brother back and Monou Fuma's obsession for fulfilling wishes...

Okay so I was trying to download a file. Evidently I clicked the wrong link because the pc decided to download, instead of the file I was interested in, a program called 'media get'. I tried to tell him, no thanks, I could care less of this thing but, regardless I closed IMMEDIATELY the download window, somehow he managed to download and install it regardless of my opinion and, since he was at it, he decided to instal also Babylon and Babylon toolbar.

From here the odyssey that nearly destroyed my pc.

I don't like to have programs that I'm not interested in, installed on my pc so I tried to delete it.
Sadly to remove it all you've to follow an order and some extra procedures or those damn programs won't disintall. Of course no one will tell you which order you've to follow so you'll go by attempts. Mind you, if you do pick the wrong sequence they won't uninstal, although the uninstall option will disappear (evidently that is the only thing that will uninstal properly) so you'll have to 're-instal' the programs yourself and try again.
Anyway about a good amount of attempts I found the right combination (don't ask which one, by the time I found it I was totally confused). Of course babylon toolbar found it's way to decide I wanted to keep it anyway (why? I've just disintalled it?) on Firefox and also changed all the 'starting pages' of my browser into the ones leading to the main page of Babylon.

More fighting to get rid of Babylon toolbar and its changes to my browsers ensued.

In the end, once I've apparently erased it, since I didn't trust such a pest of a program not to make mess I had spybot search and destroy make a check in my pc.
Babylon toolbar left me with 90 unwanted little item.
I removed them too but then the pc began working a bit too slowly.
Oh well, no big deal, after such a battle he might be a little upset, let's restart him.

Start-restart-wait.

He goes smoothly.

At first.

Then he tells me: 'Hey JJ, ever heard of a command.com file? well, I can't find a way to make it work... do you mind if I'll stay in pause until YOU find a way to make it work?'

... @_@ ....

YES! I MIND! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MAKE WORK SUCH FILE? I COMMAND HIM TO WORK?!?

No answer.

It's in those desperate moments I thank God that I took part to that ancient pc course and that I bought a copy of the program Windows XP even though the pc technician said there was no reason for me to...

Get cd, read label: 'this has the power to reinstal everything... at the price to ERASE EVERYTHING.'

Wait... erase everything? But... but... it's true I've most on the other external disk but still... still... Dear beloved pc of my heart can't you talk with this cd and install only what you need?

PC: ...

Pretty please?

PC: I'll see what I can do. Insert that cd.

Insert cd. Pray in a miracle.

Okay, for today I've proof that God exists. Charmingly, as if it was no difficult task at all, the cd and the pc had a chat and find a way to fix the mess that didn't include ERASING EVERYTHING.

Now let's try to forget this has even happened and pray it'll never happen again...

Okay, this is the end of an hellish week.
Finally holidays are here and with them some rest.
On a sidenote I got pretty hooked to Umineko...
Now if only I could find the ISO for the visual novel 1 to 4...
Because yes, although the visual novels have quite ugly draws they're a lot better than the anime... what a pity...

So, in the remote case someone's wondering why [ALT] Tokyo Babylon 1999 (OP) - Lost In Blue has disappeared is merely because the Record Industry Association of Japan has filed a copyright infrigment notification against it, which forced Youtube to remove it. To play save I've also spontaneously removed the old version of it, which was still available.

I think it's sad AMV can be subjected to this sort of things but it's technically legal. They contain copyrighted materials and, as far as I know, no AMV maker had the rights/the permission to use it, no discussion about it. -_-

This is what remains of the video stats...
